This weave is among the densest of the Etruscan weaves. It is two-way, double, sometimes called "quad" weave. Although it has a similar look to woven chain, it has an entirely different structure. It is made from hundreds of small fine silver rings (each of which is hand fused), rather than large lengths of wire

It does not have any of the stiffness that is sometimes characteristic of knit chains. It is extremely supple and sensuous
